1.) The life of Nick’s friend Tom is a good example of the American Dream. He has a beautiful wife, played football, has a big house and money.

2.) Nick seems to be really innocent and he starts to get exposed to the outside world. It seems like he has never encountered things like unloyal marriage. It seems like he longs for acceptance from other people.

3.) White was a color used significantly. I think it represents purity in Nick’s life and beauty.
