1.)American Dream: This chapter starts to conclude Fitzgerald’s view of the American Dream. Throughout the entire book Gatsby has a goal and a dream to get Daisy. This in itself is a huge example of the American Dream just through the pursuit of happiness. The American Dream is having a dream and trying to reach it. Myrtle dream was to be in Daisy’s shoes and eventually she was killed for trying to make this dream a reality. Gatsby’s dream was to get Daisy back and through another series of events he also eventually dies. It just shows the endurance of some people and the will power and how far someone will go to get what they want.

2.) Character Development: In this chapter Gatsby is seen as even more perserverant he doesn’t give up hope on Daisy until he dies. All the signs point to the fact that Daisy just wants to be with Tom but Gatsby just doesn’t give up hope he just keeps believing in his dream.

3.) Color: When Gatsby is on his porch wearing Pink I thought this symbolized the fact that he still loved Daisy with all his heart because of the pink relating to Daisy earlier in the book. It symbolzes Gatsby’s dream
